Translation and software for the global church

Xenizo exists to serve the global church by providing high-quality written resources and innovative software. We develop new approaches to translating Scripture, notes, dictionaries and other resources. We build software apps for web, desktop and mobile to accelerate translation and to facilitate distribution of digital resources. We release software and resources under open licences so that the global church may share, distribute, adapt and translate everything we produce. We work in partnership with major Bible translation organisations and local churches to make this happen.

Distinctives

From the Sources

We translate Scripture from Greek and Hebrew, and link those translations back to the sources so that readers may check translation decisions.

Digital & Mobile First

Our content may be used anywhere, but we focus on digital media, especially for mobile phones, since these are the most commonly-available media for the global church.

Open Access

Our software is released under open source licences. Our resources, including Bibles, are released under a permissive Creative Commons licence. This enables other to use our work in many creative ways.

In Partnership

We recognise that the church is much bigger than any one project or organisation. We partner with others to avoid duplication and to build better together.
